Book Review: Ribbons of Scarlett: A Novel of the French Revolution’s Women by Kate Quinn, Stephanie Dray, Laura Kamoie, Sophie Perinot, Heather Webb, and E. Knight

Rating: 10/10

Favorite Character: Sophie de Condorcet

So, I’m pretty sure this is the best historical fiction book I’ve ever read. As the title so clearly states, the book is about different women of the French Revolution. Each author writes a chapter from a different historical woman’s perspective, with the exception of one chapter that switches between two women. By the time I finished this book, I was utterly obsessed with the Condorcets, who are honestly the best. If you like complex female characters, history, romance, drama, and revolution, this book is definitely for you. I cannot shut up about it. It’s very vividly written, and despite all the character’s having such drastically different lives, the different stories tie in beautifully.
