Series Rating: 8/10
Favorite Character: Jude Duarte
Favorite Book: Queen of Nothing
Song Aesthetic: A Little Wicked by Valerie Broussard, Teeth by Five Seconds of Summer

So, when I said this blog would be mostly about fictions, I probably should have also warned that I read a ton of YA. I fell in love with this series. The aesthetic is everything. First of all, the world Black creates, where faeries are dangerous immortal creatures who cannot lie and can glamour, is fascinating. The main romance is a fascinating enemies-to-lovers between two very determined and dangerously capable characters. As the story goes on, you learn more about the politics of the faerie court, and you see how Jude, a mortal who was raised in faerie, navigates the court. Jude is amazing. She does what it takes to gain as much power and influence in the court as possible. The best thing about the crazy world we live in and let you live in another, equally crazy, world for a little while.
Cruel Prince Rating: 8/10
The first book in this series is full of plot twists and immediately immerses you into this interesting new world. You get to know the different characters and what they are like. In this book you see Jude really come into her own and make a place for herself.
Wicked King Rating: 7/10
The second book in the series concentrated heavily on court politics. By this time, Jude has already gained a significant amount of power, and in this book she learns how difficult it is to hold on to said power. Finally, the romance really develops in this book. However, I personally preferred the first and third books.
Queen of Nothing Rating: 9/10
The last book in the series was definitely my favorite. An exciting culmination to the series, the writing in this book is immersing. The plot is fascinating, the romance is truly moving, and if you’re not in love with the characters by this point, you will be.
